Established in 2017, the Penguin Random House Diversity and Inclusion Council sought a logo that would brand and unify the various diversity initiatives that were already gaining momentum at the company. The desired look had to be clean yet inviting, and functional yet symbolic. This was selected by the council as the consensus winner.
